A lot of times the #DigitalGarden scene seems dominated by developers. People who exist in in-between places like me feel a bit frustrated that the tools used - the static site generators - are so unfriendly to non-developer minds.
So, I'm glad that there are some folks who are building digital gardens on #wordpress.
I have plans to use #Obsidian and a plugin - probably either Quartz, Eveloppe or digital garden - to generate my static site one day, but this is a good workaround while I plan the possibly very complicated transition.
I did think about using #Astro but the mechanics of it seem so frightening lol

WP.com's Query block is seriously the most unintiutive piece of UI ever. Even after reading the documentation I'm scratching my head lol.

I love #Linky as a #Linktree alternative for #Wordpress which is in compliance with the #GDPR. Unfortunately Linky seems to be abandoned and there are no new social media icons / items for example. Do you know of new alternatives (which must be GDPR proof)?

If this is true then only @wordpressdotcom would receive updates while the rest of the #WordPress community withers.

I am not a lawyer or time traveler, but from Matt’s odd statements, it appears that #WPEngine may actually win their lawsuit against #Automattic.

Matt on the other hand is “cutting off his nose to spite his face” with these measures, which is baffling honestly.

Anyone here familiar with #php or #wordpress? Trying to create a pdf uploader plug-in using PDFshift. To upload a PDF and extract is content into HTML. I'm so close but something keeps breaking.

For the one or two people who saw my toot about LibNoAi a #PHP script to add toxin texts for #AI into my pages, I also made a #WordPress version with instructions for adding and sharing your own razorblades of training to a plugin you can customise the old-school way.

To use it, you should be somewhat comfortable editing text-based code (it is very easy to do). There's a wiki for help.

I wasted a bunch of time trying to figure out why a form on a #WordPress application was not working for some tests. Turns out that `wp_sanitize_email()` doesn't just sanitize but will return empty if it doesn't think the email is valid. So a technically valid email like doe@example would be returned as empty. It was like sanitizing a string with bleach; can't be dangerous if it's empty, I guess. #WebDev #PHP
