Or worse, with the charging port, potentially requiring an expensive repair or replace.But last summer someone showed me how to use a pin to clear the pocket lint out of the charging port. Allowing the plug on the cable to sit properly in the port. Voilà! Device is charging normally again.

Greg Harvey 🌍This is probably me being really stupid, but I *almost* threw away a pair of AKG K171 headphones because the ear pads disintegrated. I hadn't realised you can replace the ear pads on most headphones, never really occurred to me since I only ever had cheap-ass ones! 😂 Anyway, €10 later and these cans are like new. And more importantly, not needlessly in a recycling centre! So <a href="https://tooting.ch/tags/protip" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#protip</a> (well, non-idiot tip) you can replace headphone ear pads on higher end headphones, check before you bin! <a href="https://tooting.ch/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#music</a>
