gmc<p>I'm trying out Qobuz currently, and thought it'd be nice to have my old Spotify playlist backups from way back when I still had Spotify so I wrote a quick and dirty Python script to read the JSON and push it to Qobuz using minim, an API wrapper for various streaming services available in the cheese shop.</p><p>Works well enough, now listening to my old New Wave playlist.</p><p><a href="https://cvs.sonologic.net/gmc/qobuz-spotify-import" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">cvs.sonologic.net/gmc/qobuz-sp…</a></p><p><a href="https://codeberg.org/gmc/qobuz-spotify-import" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">codeberg.org/gmc/qobuz-spotify…</a></p><p><a href="https://friends.chasmcity.net/search?tag=Spotify" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spotify</span></a> <a href="https://friends.chasmcity.net/search?tag=Qobuz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Qobuz</span></a> <a href="https://friends.chasmcity.net/search?tag=Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Python</span></a></p>
everton137<p>I listen mostly to classical music, and I'm looking for an alternative for Amazon Music, which I find almost anything I want and with a high definition sound, including Dolby Atmos.</p><p>I found two potential alternatives, Qobuz (French), and Idagio (from Berlin). Both seem quite good options. I'm tempted to choose Qobuz, because sometimes we listen to other genres at home, but Idagio looks like a paradise to classical music lovers.</p><p>A few years ago, I tried to find alternatives before subscribing to Amazon. What a good surprise now, I can even choose! </p><p>P. S. Amazon Music cancelled.</p><p><a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/boycottamazon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>boycottamazon</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/amazon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>amazon</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/qobuz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>qobuz</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/idagio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>idagio</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/classicalmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>classicalmusic</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Berlin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Berlin</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/amazonmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>amazonmusic</span></a></p>
Ruth Mottram<p>I'm trying out <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/qobuz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>qobuz</span></a> as an alternative to Spotify: high fidelity sound is good even through small Bluetooth speaker. Quite like this intro playlist too. Good bend of familiar and new. </p><p>Listen to the playlist An Introduction to Qobuz <a href="https://open.qobuz.com/playlist/504746" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">open.qobuz.com/playlist/504746</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
Dave Rahardja<p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Qobuz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Qobuz</span></a> is great, but their playlists suck.</p><p>For example: Aphex Twin does *not* belong in the “Music for Study and Focus” playlist.</p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a></p>
Jonathan Arnold 🇺🇦<p>I need to get back to my music. I haven't done my AllMusic.com Editors' Choice playlist in three months. I moved to <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/Qobuz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Qobuz</span></a> but haven't used it much. I've imported playlists from <a href="https://indieweb.social/tags/Spotify" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Spotify</span></a>, but I need to make some new ones. I don't take advantage of its better fidelity. I mostly listen to it in the car or with headphones. I don't know if headphones or even Bluetooth can sonically do it justice.</p>
