High Notes!
Yesterday I sang my last Der kleine Prinz, Pierangelo Valtinoni‘s children‘s opera «Il piccolo principe» in German. A kind soul took this short clip of me as La Vanitosa/The Vain Lady/Die Eitle!
Singing frustration:
I love singing but when singing along with songs I often don't know which octave to sing in. When I choose the lower one, some parts of the song may be too low, and with the higher one, some parts may be too high!
Now I wonder, maybe the pitch of my voice is a bit uncommon? Or do I just have a bit of a limited range?
Does anyone recognize this issue?
The second song didn't come out as well for two reasons:
1. It's heavy metal, a lot more screaming/loud singing
2. it really pushes into the upper part of my range and I miss a lot of notes
Still, I wanted to share it because it's a lot of fun to sing and there are still some sections that come out really well IMO, especially the very end. It's worth showing my limitations as well as strengths.
