Apparently the week-long Amazon boycott had no effect on the company whatsoever. I'm not surprised because I've known for a while there is no way to practice conscious capitalism. The only paths are either to continue trudging in the ruts they've chained us in, or break the chains, slaughter the slave drivers, and burn the whole death ship to cinders and ash.
The oligarchs are too entrenched, too wealthy, and too smug to defeat by simply not opening our wallets for a week.
Capitalism can't be brought to heel or redeemed. It has to be destroyed.
Another day, another day I haven’t bought a Tesla. I guess my #boycott continues.
yes,
Yes,
YES! and say it with the chest:

#BDS all collaborators with #Trump #MAGA #techbros and every sundry supporter of #AmericanFascism.
yes, we #antifascists here in the USA are asking antifascists all over the world to #Boycott #Divest and #Sanction all #USA and international companies and institutions that support American fascism.

In case you are a Steak'n'Shake Fan and *not* MAGA, you may want to rethink your favorite food chain.
(paywall... also it's more "pro-Nazi" than "pro-MAGA")

Trump Holds Bizarre, Rambling Tesla Commercial at White House
WTF were #DonaldTrump and #ElonMusk doing?

"Trump claimed that the #boycott was unlawful...
Fact check: Boycotts are not illegal and are protected by the #FirstAmendment...
But #US regulations do prohibit federal employees from using their public office... “for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise.”"
"There seems to be a quietness or denial about what’s going on. I feel utter anger. I cannot go on with this feeling inside. I cannot just go and play a tour of beautiful concerts.”

Makes some important points that modern #boycott fans tend to forget such as boycotts are hard, they are meant to be, and folks suffer. That is part of the deal, which is long term. So you need to stick to the long haul or just don't. And if you feel you can't do much, do what you can. As I and others have said, pick one or two things to cut out and do that. Adds up.
And stop listening to "not doing it right" activists.
> ‘I feel utter anger’: From Canada to Europe, a movement to boycott US goods is spreading

Good, keep it up. Even if you can't #boycott everything, choose one thing from the US and cut it out. Work with what you have, it adds up.
OK Australia, our turn to boycott US goods (if you haven't already done so!) - we're getting the "Tariffs for Frenz" treatment too. Get onto it people! #Boycott
“Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed Australia would not retaliate with tariffs of its own, but said the US president's tariffs were an act of "economic self-harm".
That is the right call. Tariffs on US goods would only hurt Australians, the #Australian #economy and make the #CostOfLiving worse (#Economics101 everyone!).
What would be effective retaliation is for a consumer #boycott of all US products. Just don’t buy any of their shit folks! Starting with Govt purchases (I.e. cancel #AUKUS )
Another great retaliatory trade tactic is the imposition of #Quotas on all US goods and services.
Just saying the obvious here.
Spotify is literally hosting an Andrew Tate podcast on “how to recruit and exploit women for pornography.”
They were hosting three of them. Two were removed because of public pressure, but one remains. He literally should have no platform for any reason.
Please boycott Spotify until they end this. And contact them to let them know that he’s a repugnant pile of shit who needs to be punched in the face.
Next level advertising.
“Last month, the number of Canadians taking road trips into the U.S.—representing the majority of Canadians who visit—dropped by 23% compared to February 2024, … while Canadian air travel to the U.S. was down by 2.4% over the same period.
… a sustained decline of more than 20% in Canadian visitors would translate to more than $4 billion in losses to the U.S. economy in 2025.”
