Ready Set Bet is an interesting, real time race game, probably better with more players causing chaos.

Colourful houses and tourists make up the game Walking in Burano. An excellent, quick card game of collecting many different sets.

Rajas off the Ganges is a great game of collecting two different types of points to make your score track cross. I prefer the advanced version for its engine building.

Beyond the Sun is one of those divisive games that feels a bit like work, but fun work. The tech tree works brilliantly though it is a massive table hog.

Is there a game with components you consider too fiddly?

(Welders from Mazda Motor Corporation in Japan created this metal dice for the "32nd High Quality Metal Products Skills Fair".)

A fingertip outstretched, zoomed in until we can see the individual ridges of the fingerprint. Covering barely a couple of those ridges is a six-sided dice. Fucking seriously. That thing is tiny, tiny, tiny.

Xia: Legends of a Drift System, 2 players

It's been a long time. What a charming game this still is, so open. It's such a credit to the game that it doesn't have a licensed property in sight. This is a genre plagued by the handcuffs of IP. Instead, it can throw in the kitchen sink and do whatever it wants. We played to 15, and my partner pursued her usual shipping strategy with the movement oriented ships. I failed a couple of key rolls, and it ended 15-12, I think.

Best metal money in gaming besides maybe John Company 2nd ed.
